INVITATION
It is our pleasure to invite scientists to attend the international conference “Climate change: agro- and forest systems sustainability“.The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists who are actively involved in research on responses and functioning of plant under changing climate. You (your colleagues) should confirm participation (registration form) till February 21th, 2011.
All participants are invited to present an oral or poster presentation at the conference. You can make your own preference if you prefer an oral or a poster presentation. This will however be decided by the Organizing Committee upon receipt of all abstracts. Abstracts will be accepted before April 4th, 2011. The abstract has to include a title, names and surnames of authors, address/e-mail, body and key words. The objectives, methods, results and conclusions of reported work should be clearly stated in an approximately 250-word text in English. Authors are requested to submit abstracts by e-mail as an MS file attachment to the conference secretary: j.sakalauskaite@lsdi.lt. The abstract form could be downloaded from here
The papers of the conference about horticultural plants will be published in scientific journal “Sodininkystė ir daržininkystė”, http://sodininkyste-darzininkyste.lsdi.lt/. Selected papers about other agricultural plants will be published in scientific journal “Zemdirbyste-Agriculture”, http://zemdirbyste-agriculture.lzi.lt/. Conference papers associated with forests will be published in scientific journal “Baltic Forestry”, http://www.balticforestry.mi.lt/.
All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and according to requirements of volumes, theme of conference and perfect English will be accepted for publication in scientific journal. Manuscripts should be written in standard English and will be accepted at the conference (June 21st, 2011).

THE MAIN TOPICS OF CONFERENCE
The topics will cover all agricultural and forest plants:
- Plant’s growth, development and physiological responses
- Adaptation and resistance processes in plants under abiotic and biotic stresses
- Climate change challenged extreme events and plant’s survival
- Invasive species and climate change
The official conference language will be English. No translation facilities will be provided.

CONFERENCE FEE
80 Euros will cover registration, conference lunches, conference party, abstract book and excursion. Conference fee for students – 50 Euros.
